No one should lose a caller to a missed phone
Switchboard exists for one reason: so that no business and no government ever loses a person to a ringing phone that nobody picks up. A missed call is not a statistic — it is a patient, a constituent, an emergency, a customer who needed something and got silence. We answer instead.
Every call answered. Every action logged. For the businesses that can't miss a call — and the governments that serve them.
One platform. Two doors.
Switchboard is a single product with two front doors. The engine is the same; what changes is who walks in and what they are accountable to.
- Commercial
For small businesses
A front desk that never goes to lunch. Switchboard answers, books, and routes for the dental office, the law firm, the plumber, and the property manager — the operators who lose real revenue the moment a call goes to voicemail.
- Answers 24/7 and books straight into your calendar
- Self-serve setup — live in minutes, cancel anytime
- Priced under the cost of the calls you already miss
- Government
For cities & counties
The same engine, hardened for the public sector. An always-on line for 311, permitting, and constituent questions — built compliance-first so it can clear procurement instead of stalling in it.
- Auditable records and FOIA-ready exports by default
- US data residency with accessibility-aligned delivery
- 24/7 coverage for the roles that go unfilled
Four principles, no exceptions
These are not slogans we grew into. They are the constraints we started with, and every product decision still routes through them.
- 01
Every call gets answered
A ringing phone is a person who needs something. Voicemail is a quiet way of saying no. The entire product exists to make sure the answer is always yes — on the first ring, at 2pm or 2am.
- 02
Every action gets logged
If the receptionist did it, there is a record of it. Calls are transcribed and every action is written to a tamper-evident trail — so a regulated agency and a busy trades shop both get something they can stand behind.
- 03
Honest about the AI
We say plainly what the AI does and does not do. It answers, books, and routes. It is not a person, and it does not pretend to be one — when a call needs a human, it hands off rather than improvising.
- 04
Compliance is built in, not bolted on
Logging, retention, and exports are part of the architecture, not a premium add-on shipped after the fact. The accountable path is the default path — for the small business today and the public agency tomorrow.
An auditable trail, by design
Accountability is not a feature we sell on top — it is the shape of the system underneath. Switchboard is built so that the transparent, logged path is also the only path. The receptionist cannot take an action that the record does not see.
That is what makes the same product safe for a corner business and a county government: the architecture does not ask anyone to trust us. It asks them to read the log.
Audit-logged by default
Every call and every action it takes is written to an append-only, tamper-evident record. The log is not an afterthought you switch on — it is how the system is wired.
Exportable on demand
Records leave the system the way oversight needs them to — structured, time-stamped, and ready for a FOIA response or an internal review without engineering involvement.
Honest about scope
We publish what is live, what is in beta, and what is still on the roadmap — and the marketing site is driven by that same registry, so the page can never claim more than the product ships.
One core, two surfaces
Commercial and government run on the same engine, so a fix or an improvement reaches both. The government surface adds the controls procurement requires — it does not fork into a different product.

Hear what answering every call sounds like
The fastest way to understand Switchboard is to listen to it work. See how it answers, books, and logs — then how quickly it sets up for your front desk.
